MARTY RIDES INTO TOWN!

The Bar was rowdy and busy, in the middle of the day this was quite normal for the Town. “Ahh come on toots, you know you love me!” The scraggly Outlaw scratched his beard as he tried to grope the hostess. Nobody wanted to stop him, not after he shot the Sherriff. After many scuffles with the women, the Outlaw threw her away and went for the Rum. A Stranger rode into town, with a big iron on his hip. He headed into the Bar, his entrance was quiet but noticeable. The people looked at him from head to toe, he had a serene peace to him which was strange for a man of his calibre. “Hey! What do you think you’re doing in my Town!” the Outlaw moved towards him, his ego shadowing the Stranger. “I came for a drink”, the Stranger replied not looking at him. “What do you think you’re lookin’ at! Too ugly for ya am I?” The stranger pushed him out, inviting him to a duel.
The Town in the Middle of Nowhere stood still, not moving an inch. A cold yet still air moved the quiet atmosphere as two men stood towards each over. Their eyes locked to each over, no sweat was had. In an instant, the Outlaw and Stranger whipped out their guns, in a flash. In a split second, it was over. The Stranger had won. Once the standoff was done the people crowded and cheered, they asked for his name. “Names Marty. Marty Robbins.” The stranger spoke. “Sir!” A young boy spoke, “A man told me this was for ya’ !” Marty took the letter from the child and opened it.
He had been selected.
